Description
Kristine Rich leads this class and is an expert at teaching active attention.
What is “Active Attention”?
Active attention means your dog chooses to look to you for information before responding to distractions in their environment. Also known as impulse control, reinforcing active attention helps your dog learn to stay calm when exciting things happen.
In this class, you will learn how to teach your dog to think first, wait for information, then respond. Active attention is useful in almost every situation, from calmly waiting for to be leashed before going outside, to patiently sitting for their meals, to ignoring human passersby or other animals during a walk.
Using easy to implement techniques and fun games, your dog will learn patterns and habits that can help them stay calm and manageable in all situations.
