Description

Our Puppy Kindergarten class provides puppy obedience and supervised socialization with people and other puppies—an essential step in helping your puppy grow into a confident and well-adjusted adult dog.

Orientation Requirement

⭐ All students must complete an orientation before beginning class.

  • In-person orientation is held Saturdays at 12:00pm and is strongly encouraged. This gives your puppy an early chance to socialize, get comfortable in the training space, and lets you see techniques demonstrated live.
  • Online video orientation is available if you cannot attend in person, but must be completed before your first class.

Your puppy will learn:

  • To remain calm under distraction and not bark or overreact when faced with new sights, sounds, or dogs
  • Name response
  • Polite greetings
  • Sit and down
  • Introduction to leash manners
  • Targeting
  • Recalls
  • Socialization and confidence building
  • Wearing a collar and harness comfortably

You will learn:

  • How to raise a confident puppy
  • Handling, including brushing and nail trims
  • Leash handling
  • Housebreaking techniques
  • Reducing biting
  • Other essential puppy-raising tips

The easy-to-implement techniques you’ll learn in Puppy Kindergarten will prepare your puppy for our Basic Obedience Level 1 class and get them started on their way to becoming the Perfect Family Dog!
