Description
Our Shadowing program is a 60-hour, 26-lesson appointment-based program and includes:
- Hands-on learning with training tools. There may be tools that, as a trainer, you haven’t used or aren’t comfortable teaching with.
- Observing classes & Private lessons
- Teaching classes
Tweek your Technique and your mechanical skills for the many ways to get behavior, including:
- Luring
- Shaping
- Capturing
- Molding
- Removing or adding inhibitors
- Reinforcement Strategies
- Creating a prompt or a Cue
- Using Targets
- Creating an effective plan
- Nail down those ABCs and Qs

Hone your human coaching skills:
- Deliver effective and efficient information
- Never overload the client
- Developing a relationship with both ends of the leash
- How to insure a great first impression
- Gain Client Compliance, insure your clients train their dog in between lessons

This is a 100% hands-on program. Continue to learn how to be the absolute best coach and trainer!
Time Commitment: Approximately 60 hours in person plus support in between sessions.
12 appointments for Technique and Mechanical Skills will be made in advance. These sessions will be approximately 90 minutes.
14 appointments for shadowing and teaching will be made during the course work and will be based on our client scheduling and group classes. These sessions will be the duration of time we coach the client or class then followed up by approximately 90 minutes of teaching and feedback between you and your coach. Plan on 3 hours for these sessions.

Prerequisites:
- Graduate of the Pack of Paws Professional Dog Trainer Program.
