Description
In this fun, interactive class you will learn how to teach your dog the skills required to perform tricks, tasks, body awareness skills, and exercises to keep them fit. This type of training will improve your skills as a trainer and your relationship with your dog. Tricks and fitness training can improve your dog’s focus and self-control, as well as build confidence for nervous dogs.
Tricks: We will cover tricks for service dog work, canine freestyle, trick titles, or just for fun! We do all levels of tricks from spin, rollover, sit pretty and retrieve to more complex tricks such as: opening/closing doors, playing soccer, putting objects in a bin, and even short freestyle sequences!
Fitness: Pack of Paws is equipped with the latest canine fitness equipment and supplies to give your dog the best experience in developing and maintaining excellent fitness. For this portion of the class, we will focus on full-body strengthening, flexibility, balance, and low-impact cardiovascular exercises.
Before you attend, your dog must know the basic obedience commands: come, down, sit, name response, leash manners.
No reactive dogs.
Optional: Earn your AKC Trick Dog Title! All dogs are welcome to participate, including mixed breeds. If you have a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, you may count the CGC as 5 of the required tricks for the NOVICE TRICK DOG TITLE!
