Description
Key Highlights:
- Balance Work: We will use unstable obstacles to enhance your dog’s balance and stability.
- Coordination: Improve your dog’s agility with cavalettis and fun tricks.
- Strength Training: Develop muscle tone and endurance with repetitive movements.
- Cardio & Flexibility: Promote heart health and increase range of motion through a mix of cardio and stretching activities.
Important Considerations:
Before enrolling, please consult your veterinarian, especially if your dog is overweight or underweight. Your vet should be aware that our program includes balance exercises, strength training, and coordination drills. We’re happy to discuss any concerns—have your vet call us at 508-248-4677 or contact Donna Savoie directly at 508-868-1174 for more details.
Requirements:
- Dogs should be food-motivated (we use treats for luring and rewarding).
- No reactive or aggressive dogs; dogs must be able to work calmly around others without barking or lunging.
- Reliable name response is essential.
Class Details:
- Small Group Setting: Maximum of 5 dogs per class ensures personalized attention.
- What to Bring: Plenty of high-value treats like meat or cheese, and a treat pouch or similar to keep them handy. Avoid using fruits and vegetables as training treats—they’re healthy but less motivating for dogs.
Our exercises are designed for all fitness levels and can be safely practiced at home with everyday items. While we use special equipment in class, we’ll provide you with creative ideas to keep up the exercises at home.
