Description
You and your dog will learn the basics of dog agility, be introduced to all the obstacles and learn handling techniques to efficiently and effectively work an obstacle course.
This class welcomes dogs and handlers who are curious whether their dog will enjoy agility, as well as those who are intending to compete in the future.
NO REACTIVE DOGS. Dogs who lunge at or bark at other dogs will be transferred to another class that is designed for dogs who need help in that area of learning. No Exceptions.
No Screaming or barking while crated. If your dog can’t settle quietly in a crate during down time it may be an option to work out of your car. Please call us for more information.
Dogs who mark equipment will be required to wear a belly band for the duration of class.
** Minimum Requirement: Reliable Name Response, Short Stay while you move away from your dog, Reliable Recall, some Leash Skills. If your dog is found not to have the skills needed for this class, we will transfer you to the appropriate class where you and your dog can become an amazing off-leash team.
**You and your dog should have experience waiting your turn while other dogs work obstacles. If you and your dog don’t have experience working in a busy environment, where other dogs may be running while you are waiting your turn, we strongly recommend our Active Dog class first.
If you miss a class, you can reserve a spot in class to make it up for a small fee. WE DO NOT OFFER FREE MAKE-UP CLASSES.
